As I’m sitting here, dressed in Den’s uber-warm sweater.. trying to warm my hands on my tea mug, I wonder what went wrong.

This was supposed to be my nice relaxing day off from work. All I had planned was to sleep in till 10am, enjoy a nice warm shower, clean the house a little and maybe shovel some snow.
But last night, just before we went to bed, we had an Amazing Discovery ®
We found out that our heating wasn’t working! *insert dramatic soundeffect here* And as we all know, that’s not very pleasant when it’s –7C out.
So now I’m sitting here, waiting to be saved by a stinky, rude mechanic-guy, who will show up between 8am and 5pm. UGH.

Cause of my arm hurting to much, I haven’t been able to knit at all. So instead I’m starting to turn into a Martha Stewart-stunt double in the kitchen. Yes, I now have a small baking obsession.

Here’s my first try.. some cupcakes:

And yesterday I made some blueberry muffins, they were very yummy:

I sooo had enough of it! Make it go away!! Arghhh!

NO MORE SNOW, ok?!

I haven’t been able to drive my car since last Thursday, cause it turned into a big snowball. So I’m bored out of my skull here at home by myself.

Of course I’ve been knitting a lot, but my arm starts to hurt again so I might have to take it slow with that. I did buy myself a cute Cupcake-bake-kit so I’ll have some other things to do these days.

I haven’t been able to drive my car since last Thursday, cause it turned into a big snowball. So I’m bored out of my skull here at home by myself.

Of course I’ve been knitting a lot, but my arm starts to hurt again so I might have to take it slow with that. I did buy myself a cute Cupcake-bake-kit so I’ll have some other things to do these days.

I’ve finally managed to get some speed back in my knitting. After finishing my 2nd Baroness beret, I decided it was time to finish my heartscarf. After 1,5 years of lying around, collecting dust, I figured it was time to finally end it. So my most boring project is finally finished:

As I was browsing for the right gift for the SinteBitch celebration, I couldn’t stop myself from buying some fancy new Alpalca yarn. Gonna make some nice cabled gloves.

Today I had my last paint/draw-lesson of this season and I finally made a masterpiece. But of course I managed to get coffee all over it. And I don’t even drink coffee!! Bleh. “Back to the drawingboard…”

Oh and I’ve ordered 2 new pairs of glasses! Have to wait 2 weeks before they are ready, but after that I’ll have one pair to look fancy at the office.. and one pair to look cool at home

At the moment I’m trying out continental knitting, cause I’ve heard it’s a faster way of knitting. But for now it’s just like learning to knit all over again. So there’s no speed for me yet. And my right arm has been sore for the last couple of days, so I might just take it slow for a little while. But that’s so hard… cause there’s so much to knit, in so little time!
